About Dr. Julie Mikashus

  • Julie Mikashus, Psy.D. (PSY17560),  is a licensed psychologist who graduated from California School of Professional Psychology, an American Psychological Association (APA) Accredited Doctoral Training Program, with her doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 1999. 
  • Her therapeutic training  emphasis is in treating Individuals, Families, and Children. 
  • She completed a Psychological Assessment Clerkship at Verdugo Mental Health Center, a Psychology Practicum at Mount St. Mary's College Student Counseling Center, and Psychology Internships at both Straight Talk Behavior and Learning Center and Glen Roberts Child Study Center.
  • She was employed in the Comprehensive Assessment Program at Pacific Clinics from 1999 to 2005 providing psychological assessments and therapy for children, adolescents, and families. 
  • She then worked as a Testing Psychologist at the Violence Intervention Program at LAC-USC Medical Center from 2005 to 2010. 
  • She started her private practice in 2001 and has been working solely in private practice from 2010 to present. 
  • Her specialty is in working with adults and adolescents who are going through difficult life phases and major life transitions that are resulting in feelings of dissatisfaction, depression, anxiety, identity issues, and relationship difficulties.
